Barry Mageean
Company director Barry has been with Safety Lift since 1995. As a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, he oversees all courses and undertakes H&S audits and consultancy.

Tom Macgougan
With the company for twenty years, Tom covers all variants of forklift truck, as well as work at height, manual handling, and traffic marshal courses. Tom is both an RTITB and NPORS accredited instructor and can bring the best out in any candidate. If you ever want to distract Tom, just mention the ‘C’ word… Cricket!
Gilbert Mitchell
Joining the company in 2016, Gilbert brought many years of experience as an instructor for Michelin. His courses cover forklifts, MEWPs (including scissor lift and boom) and he is also a CPC tutor. What he lacks in his taste in football teams, he more than makes up for with his skill and judgement when undertaking training.
Innis Mennie
With experience in warehousing, Innis is with the company almost 9 years and instructs on reach, counterbalance, VNA, and pivot steer forklifts, powered pallet trucks and stackers, telehandler, slinger/signaler and overhead cranes. Not playing to stereotypes, our tame Scotsman is all smiles and encouragement. Note - may exclude Monday.
Ricky Gilmore
Our most recently joined Instructor, Ricky, worked as an operator and instructor at Michelin before bringing his experience to Safety Lift. He covers all types of forklift trucks and is also a CPC tutor. Able to speak both English and Ballymena, Ricky is our only bilingual instructor.
Míceál White
A very experienced plant operator with an agricultural background, Safety Lift veteran Míceál instructs on various lift trucks and heavy plant, such as dumper, excavator, and tractor. He also does HGV driver assessment and shunter courses. Míceál is both an RTITB and NPORS accredited instructor. Known for his enthusiasm, humour, and great singing voice (don't ask!), he's always popular with trainees.
